Department: Food & Beverage Departments

Date Issued: 27 February 2022

Breaks During Working Hours

Workers have the right to one uninterrupted 20 minute rest break during their working day, if they work more than 6 hours a day. This could be a tea or lunch break. The break is not paid.

If the worker works 6 hours or more - one 20 minute break

If the worker works 9 hours or more - two 20 minute breaks

Your manager will advise you when you can take your unpaid break, or you may ask your manager during your shift. Should you be taking a break outside of our property, no uniform is to be worn, you must be in your personal clothing. You are not entitled to take this break at the end of your shift.
