Smoking Breaks [HR-18]

All cigarette breaks are at the discretion of the manager on duty. No staff members are to go for a cigarette without asking permission from the manager on duty. Managers should also inform others when going for a cigarette, this is in case they are needed back in the building.

Under no circumstances should any staff member go for a cigarette break during the main food service hours:

• Breakfast service is 09:30 till 11:00

• Lunch service is 12:00 till 15:00

• Dinner service is 18:00 till 22:00

Cigarette breaks are not paid and therefore must be clocked in and out for. No exceptions.

All cigarettes/tobacco are to be kept in the staff room.
