The Coast Atmosphere
Our atmosphere at The Coast is incredibly important to us, and we are very well known for a warm, welcoming environment.
We must ensure that we as management are gaining a real rapport with guests. It is very easy to be led by the diary. Get amongst the customers, create that memorable experience. Their experience is in our hands. Think of it like you are welcoming your guests into your own home, you'd want everything to be perfect!
Candles lit (subject to time of year)
Fire lit (think cosy winters by the fire)
Restaurant clean and presentable (including the appearance of the property from the outside)
Music at the appropriate level (not too loud but not too quiet - you want to create the buzz, and it should be adjusted at all times throughout service times subject to levels of business)
Flowers on the bar and on tables are fresh and water replenished (reference FOH-OPP-01)
Service cycle followed - "a big warm welcome"
Chairs tucked neatly and tables consistently spaced
Bar stools neatly tucked and consistently spaced
Cleaning standards maintained
