ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
To accurately manage the days seating according to the diary.
The host welcomes the guests with a big hello and be the face of the service.
Direct the guests to the correct table
Offer menus and explain the availability of the menu.
Offer table water: still, sparkling or our island finest tap water.
Remove any wine glasses from sittings that have guests under the age of 18.
Place the order for water on the till and hand over the table to the server in the section.
Record the guests on resdiary, either by seating the guests or creating a walk in table.
Should the table not be ready or the guests have arrived early we can always encourage drinks on a suitable table while they wait.
Our menu is diverse and we can always accomodate walk in's where possible, even for a short time by recommending quicker dishes or even one course.
Remember, treat the business like it's your own front room and strive to make each and every individual feel special.
MAXIMISE REVENUE. MAKE THE MOST OF THE TABLE SEATING'S AVAILABLE ON EACH SHIFT.
